- CSU graduate. Set the school record in the 800 meter indoors (1:49.5 and stood for 34 years) in 1963.

- Published 5 books and 2 Instructional Videos His last book Coaching Every Event is considered a coaching bible for Track and Field

- University of Colorado graduate (’99 & ’00 Team Captain), 2X CU Leadership Award recipient
- All-American XC, 3X All-American Indoor Mile, 4th Mile NCAA Indoor Championships
- Placed 3rd in ’04 US Olympic Steeplechase Trials (Women’s Steeple was not introduced into the Olympics until ’08)
